Cressi Gara Modular Sprint Fins π€Ώπ¦Ά: a shorter version of the famous Impulse fins, praised by freedivers worldwide (amateur and professional alike) and widely recognized in specialized press. The Sprint is designed to meet the needs of freedivers and spearfishermen, especially in winter, when the length of an Impulse is not necessary and a more compact fin is more practical.
Like the Impulse, the Sprint was designed using advanced calculation software (finite element method) to optimize the geometry and achieve a very high-performance blade. The blade is made of a single-material thermoplastic elastomer, structured in two functional layers:
an underlayer that forms the base of the fin, with uniform thickness and a flexible longitudinal propulsion "wing",
an overlayer that selectively covers this wing, with a thickness that progressively decreases to zero towards the tip.
This construction allows for the efficient storage and release of elastic energy, aiding leg movement and significantly improving propulsion. Another major advantage: when disassembled, the blade + foot pocket take up the same space as a classic snorkeling fin, ideal for transport and travel. A technical, compact, and incredibly efficient fin.
